NYE 2016: Chicago

So this year for New Years Eve I went up to Chicago for the celebration. We wanted to do the new Chicago tradition this year called Chicago Rising. It is like the new New York Ball Drop but Chicago's version. It was along the new Chicago Riverwalk with a Chicago Star that counts down as it rises to the New Year. Pretty cool idea and it syncs up with the Navy Pier fireworks. We didn't make it as they made the tickets $200 when it was originally supposed to be free. It's alright because they actually ended up being late by 27 seconds. I remember being in the bar seeing it on TV for the countdown and it was already midnight.

Addis House: Me, Alex, Shelbs, Jasmine, Greg, Shannon, Cherish



Anyway, the crew for the night was myself, Shannon, Cherish, Greg, Jasmine, Shelbs, Addi, Krista, and Alex. We all went up to Addi's house near Logan Square to pre-game and hang out. I had about 7 shots (which is not normal for me) and was feeling pretty good. We made our way down to Logan Bar for the last hour to celebrate. Most of us were already feeling it and only bought 1 or 2 drinks + the free champagne toast for midnight.

So after midnight we decided to hit a "dancing bar" because Shannon and Shelbs wanted to dance. I don't even know the name of the place but we waited outside in the cold for about 10 minutes (but felt forever while freezing my ass off). It was super crowded but had pretty good music. They got their dance on and then we headed to the Golden Nugget for a early/late breakfast and made our way home. I got back around 5am haha. Was a great night though overall.
